8 Day Chimpanzee Gorilla Trek with Sabinyo Hikes and Lake Bunyonyi Safari
The 8 Day Chimpanzee Gorilla Trek with Sabinyo Hikes and Lake Bunyonyi Safari is so exclusive to many other tours of the primates with tracking the Chimpanzees and The Mountain Gorillas adding on the Beautiful Golden Monkeys that sum up the excitement of the safari.
Day 1: Drive to Kibale National Park
Early breakfast and at 7:00 am leave for Kibale park driving to fort portal where we shall stop for lunch and proceed to explore the Bigodi Wetlands for some primates and birdlife. Check into your lodge, chill, have dinner, and night rest.
Accommodation: Primate Lodge, Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 2: it’s the chimpanzee tracking day.
Breakfast at the Lodge, proceed to the starting point at the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre not later than 8:00 am for the Tracking Briefing as well your Guide will arrange all the necessary about the schedule of the day. And if you want to do a Habituation Experience, you have an extra fee for staying for more than 4 hours with the Chimps.
Day 3: A drive to Bwindi Forests for Mountain Gorillas.
Have Breakfast and we set off for the Bwindi Impenetrable Forests into the Rushaga Sections. We will drive for about 6 – 7 hours as we head southwestwards.
Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Day.
This is the highlight of the day, you must have enough breakfast in the morning. you will need the downlisted accessories. The Gorilla Trek can be 5 plus hours depending on the group you are assigned to. And with a note, the gorillas move daily and before you even go tracking, they are still moving. Afterward, transfer to Kisoro town near Mgahinga gorilla national park for a drive of about 3 hours.
Day 5: The Sabinyo Mountain Hike.
On this day, we will arrange for the wildlife Ranger for the Sabinyo Gorge Trail Hike and a Version that fits into the afternoon. It’s also a favorite with birds and many species are sighted along say, Golden Monkeys, Duikers, Rwenzori Turacos, and other mammals.
Day 6: Track the Golden Monkeys this Morning.
Have Breakfast and get off for the exciting adventure with the golden monkey trekking in the Bamboo forests of the Volcanoes. There you encounter a large number of the rarest endangered Golden Monkeys only found in Mgahinga gorilla park as they flit over and near. Afterward, have lunch and continue to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi Exploitation
This Morning has a breakfast and embarks on the Morning Boat Canoe trek with hills climbs.
Day 8: Return To Kampala or Entebbe.
We embark on our drive to Kampala, via Mbarara for lunch and the equator stop as we head to Entebbe for an evening flight.
